Support
AdGuard Home for iOS is an unofficial third-party client for self-hosted AdGuard Home servers. It lets you monitor DNS activity and manage protection, filters, and server settings from your iPhone or iPad.
Requirements
- An AdGuard Home instance you control, with the web API enabled
- iOS 17 or later
- Network access to your server (local network, VPN, or remote access as you configure)
Getting Started
- Open the app and add your server host, port, username, and password.
- Choose HTTP or HTTPS to match your AdGuard Home setup.
- Tap connect. If prompted, allow local network access so the app can reach servers on your LAN.
- Use Manage Instance to switch servers, test the connection, or enable app lock.
Troubleshooting
Cannot connect to the server
- Verify the host, port, and whether HTTPS is enabled on AdGuard Home.
- Make sure your device can reach the server (same Wi-Fi, VPN, or port forwarding).
- Check that AdGuard Home is running and the management interface is available.
- Grant local network permission when iOS asks for it.
HTTPS certificate warnings
- For self-signed certificates, approve the server when the app prompts you.
- Approved certificate fingerprints are stored only on your device.
- If the server certificate changes, remove and re-add the instance, then trust the new certificate.
Login or permission errors
- Confirm the username and password match your AdGuard Home admin account.
- Check AdGuard Home access settings if client IP restrictions are enabled.
A setting or feature is missing
- Some screens depend on your AdGuard Home server version. Update AdGuard Home if a feature is unavailable.
- Use Instance → Active Connection to check the installed server version.
